• Francisco R. Mendoza, MD, is a family medicine specialist providing high-quality care to patients in Santa Maria, California. As the leading physician at Santa Maria Family Medicine: Francisco R. Mendoza, MD, he specializes in full-service health care for patients of all ages. Dr. Mendoza attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he completed his undergraduate education. He then went on to enroll at the University of California, Irvine, earning his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Mendoza completed his residency at Kern Medical Center in California. As a family care specialist, Dr. Mendoza has over 20 years of experience identifying, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of conditions and injuries. Dr. Mendoza has a particular interest in disease management, specifically, type 2 diabetes. As a family medicine provider, he offers several essential health services, including physical exams, gynecological exams, and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. Dr. Mendoza is a leading provider of medically supervised weight loss programs, helping patients reach their weight loss goals safely and effectively. He also performs a number of noninvasive aesthetic treatments like skin tightening and body sculpting. Dr. Mendoza is fluent in both English and Spanish. Outside the office, he spends much of his time volunteering. Dr. Mendoza is the founder of the Hispanic Medical Legal Association and Young Educated Latino Leaders (YELL), a program dedicated to promoting higher education amongst Latino students. He’s also the founder of the Alliance for Pharmaceutical Access, Inc., a program that helps middle to low-income patients without insurance afford their medications.
