• As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Peter J. Curcione, DO, is highly experienced in the latest techniques for repairing injuries and damage caused by chronic disease and athletic injuries. At his practice in Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres, Florida, Dr. Curcione specializes in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic ligament repairs, and treating disorders of the shoulder and hand. He affiliates with Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, Gulf Coast Medical Center, Lehigh Regional Medical Center, and Cape Coral Hospital. Dr. Curcione is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is an active member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Association, Lee County Medical Society, Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and the Michigan Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He also serves as the team physician for area sports organizations, including the Florida Everblades Hockey team, Fort Myers Miracle Baseball team, and Lehigh Senior High School. At Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Curcione earned his medical degree and completed his residency training.
