Heather M. Kistka, MD is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her neurosurgery residency and subspecialization in neurosurgical oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Her research focused on natural history and outcomes of neurosurgical treatments of primary tumors and metastases to the brain and spine. Dr. Kistka�s interests include restoring function to the central and peripheral nervous system from multiple causes including tumors, degenerative disc disease, carpal tunnel and vascular malformations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
