About Us

  • Coastal Craftsmen Construction is a construction firm in Fort Myers, Florida, specializing in custom home building and major renovations. Our focus is to provide our clients a truly personal homebuilding experience from concept, to design, through construction, and after construction service. Our goal is to make the construction process as transparent as possible, so you never feel like you are in the dark. We do this by providing constant communication throughout the construction build. Our approach is fairly simple: Do whatever is in the best interest of the client, and refuse to do anything that is contrary to that principle. We consider ourselves your personal concierge through the whole construction process. * We take a team approach in working with you, the design team, lenders and any other team members involved on your behalf. * We provide constant communications throughout the construction build, keeping you and team members fully informed. * We provide design review and budgeting services to ensure you keep within a working budget. * We work with carefully selected subcontractors to provide the specific skills and materials needed for each project. Our construction services include Pre-construction design services, pre-construction budgeting, full-time supervision, bid management program, open book accounting, complete scheduling services, and online project management system. CUSTOM HOME BUILDING With our concierge approach, we take on one home at a time to give your project the focused attention it takes to build the home of your dreams. MAJOR RENOVATIONS We perform large-scale renovation projects that feature many of the same services as new custom home building projects. TEAM Abel Natali Abel is the principal in charge and qualifier of record for Coastal Craftsmen Construction State of Florida Licensed General Contractor (Lic # CGC1519444). Abel has been involved in the construction industry since 2006. He is a project manager and a member of the board of directors for a large commercial construction company in addition to running the office operations for Coastal Craftsmen Construction. He specializes in estimating construction costs accurately and delivering budget analysis and keeping open lines of communication with clients and subcontractors. In his career, he has successfully assisted and managed over $150 million of construction projects. Abel is well versed in the green building industry and has achieved LEED AP BD&C Designation (Leadership in Energy Efficient Design - Building, Design, and Construction), which is an industry standard for green building professionals. He is also a Construction Document Technologist (CSI/CDT). In 2003, he graduated cum laude from the University of Florida—(Go Gators!)—with a degree in Finance and Business Administration. He began his professional career in the hospitality industry and real estate sales, before moving into construction. Abel has lived in Southwest Florida since 1981. Being born and raised in Lee County, Abel and his family have deep roots in the Southwest Florida community. He has served on the United Way Allocations committee, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and serves as co-chair of an inter-organization charitable giving committee. Wayne Yowell Wayne began his construction career in 1978 as a general carpenter in Cape Coral and quickly advanced to trim carpentry, followed by an apprenticeship to become a tile, stone, and marble installation mechanic. That journey ultimately led him to operate his own flooring business. From designing full-blown kitchen and bathroom remodels, to orchestrating all phases of large-scale commercial interior finish work, Wayne has an eye for details and the experience that brings confidence to your project. Working as a job site interior superintendent for multimillion-dollar construction companies, Wayne has helped oversee large-scale projects around the U.S., including construction for the Atlanta International Airport, Florida Department of Transportation, major national restaurant chains, and luxury hotels (Ritz Carlton and The Registry). He is an active community supporter, participating in the Edison Pageant of Lights parade and collecting Toys for Tots. Wayne has served on the board of directors of the Connie Mack Allie Schmidt Circus Saints and Sinners, and was the past President of the Next Generation of the German American Social Club. He has also been a member of the Moose, Son of the American Legion, and First Cape Coral United Methodist Church—where he and his wife Alicia were married.
