About Us

• Since incorporating in 1957, The Arc of Butler County has served people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities by:
  
  
• Advocating for political and social change to allow citizens with mental retardation to be educated in public schools, be employed in the community and live in their home community.
  
• Providing individuals and families with information about their rights.
  
• Developing and providing direct service programs; currently including community living, job coaching and sheltered employment.
  
  Our goal is to always keep pace with changing needs of citizens with mental retardation and related development disabilities.
