It serves as an extremely helpful tool for the patient in understanding their treatment options.Xrays. Xrays are taken only when necessary to determine cavities, periodontal disease, and dental pathology. The dental panorex is the machine used to determine wisdom tooth impaction, any cysts or tumors of the jaw, as well as possible sinus infections and TMJ dysfunction.
