• I am an expert in the sale and repair of mobility scooters, power wheelchairs, and automobile lifts. Open since 2001, I began as a Medicare provider of mobility equipment. Beginning in January of 2017, I withdrew from the Medicare program and am now strictly a retail outlet for this equipment. Why did I withdraw from Medicare? Simply, Medicare has made it extremely difficult to qualify for a scooter or chair. If you can take one step, you do not qualify. If you are able to get around inside your home without a scooter, you do not qualify. Unless you are bed-ridden, you do not qualify. I am seeking customers that do not want to wait 2 to 3 months for Medicare to provide a scooter, that do not want to go through the unbelievable documentation process with their doctor, customers that would rather just purchase their own mobility equipment that will solve their mobility issues. My duty when a customer comes in my shop is to listen to their particular situation and guide them to the proper equipment that will solve their problem. Typically, I hear things like, "I need something that I can disassemble and put into my car, to go to the casino, to WalMart, on a cruise." Or, "I have 20 acres to get around on and I just can't do it by myself anymore." Each situation has its own solution. A large scooter will get you around on your farm, but you cannot take it on a cruise. A small scooter can be easily transported, but it will not work off-road on the farm.
