Our South Elgin auto repair shop is a full service preventative maintenance and auto repair shop that offers high quality repairs at fair prices. We service both domestic and foreign vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and fleet vehicles. Our shop owner, John Murray, has been in the automotive industry for over 35 years. He started as a part time mechanic performing general service when he was in high school. He eventually became a sales manager for Goodyear, expanding his knowledge of the automotive industry. After being promoted to a store manager at Goodyear and maintaining that position for over 7 years, John decided to open his own shop to continue his journey in providing excellent customer service in the automotive industry. In 1987, he opened his own Goodyear franchise shop which he owned and operated for 17 years in his hometown of Bartlett, IL. In January of 2006, John decided to further his commitment to excellence by opening J Murray Auto Service in South Elgin, IL, creating and maintaining a high standard of automotive services for his community. At J Murray Auto Service, our staff consists of ASE certified Master Technicians that are trained and experienced to repair and service all vehicle makes and models. Our family owned and operated shop has the latest diagnostic equipment to accurately diagnose and repair your vehicle the first time around.
