• Ira S. Kornstein, Esq. is an solo practitioner in the law firm of IRA S. KORNSTEIN, ESQ., with offices located in West Orange, New Jersey. I have over 25 years of legal experience and expertise and my areas of practice include bankruptcy law, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 individual matters, commercial litigation, collections law, corporate restructuring under Chapter 11, creditor rights and out-ofcourt workouts, foreclosures and restructuring. Mr. Kornstein has handled a wide range of bankruptcy related litigation matters including, trustee matters, adversary proceedings, preferential transfers, fraudulent transfers, and other contested matters. I have made various presentations to business and professional organizations. I am a founding member of the Bankruptcy Inn of Court organization and is a current member of that professional organization. I am also a founding member of the Passaic County mediation program conducted by the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey. I am admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S..Supreme Court.
