• The Captains House Inn is a sixteen guestroom 1839 sea captain's home located in Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. The luxurious inn is situated on two beautifully landscaped gardens and is the perfect retreat for your romantic Cape Cod getaway. Recognized by reviewers as perhaps Cape Cod's finest inn, the Captains House is a AAA four diamond recipient and members of Select Registry and Distinctive Inns of New England.   The Main House, the attached Carriage House, the Stables and the 200-year-old "bow roof cape" called the Captains Cottage, provide 16 sumptuously appointed guest quarters. Young packet clipper ship Captain Hiram Harding built this stately Greek revival style sea captain's home in 1839 for his bride of one year, Lydia (read more about the inn's history, here). Set on two acres with outbuildings and a large outdoor swimming pool, the inn offers lovely retreat space for romantic getaways, intimate weddings, and small conferences.
