• Add'l Hours Info: About Better Body & Beyond Mobile Massage Therapy Kalamazoo, Michigan MISSION STATEMENT To all those who request my services as a Certified Massage Therapist, I will offer an affordable, safe means in which you, the client, may receive professional mobile massage care in a timely manner. I will continually strive to gain knowledge to offer additional services to assist you to my utmost ability. INTRODUCTION Back in 1997 I went to a business convention. At this event there was a Massage Therapist there speaking about "The Importance of Touch." After her talk she offered chair massages to those who wanted one. My job at that time was as a customer service representative sitting behind a computer with a pair of headphones day after day. This position had taken a toll on my body. I also did work as an apartment caretaker. The day-to-day duties of cleaning apartments, shoveling snow during the winter, and all other activities that the job entailed had also done its number on me. After receiving my first chair massage I noticed that I had easier movement in my shoulders and the soreness in my lower back had all but disappeared. From that point on I received massages on a regular basis. In 2007 I moved to Kalamazoo from Minnesota to start a new chapter in my life. One day I was driving and noticed a sign that read, “Professional Massage Training Starting Soon.” My fiance', urged me to think about enrolling, and now I am glad I did. I have a family member who has had a lot of health issues and their doctor had mentioned that massage would help ease the symptoms they were experiencing. I felt driven to help this person to be able to live a more fulfilling life. It seems to be working as they do not have as much disabling pain, they sleep a more deeper sleep, they have increased mobility, and their energy level seems to have improved. Due to the increased mobility and energy level they have been able to lose weight. I feel a deep need to help others as I do my family members. I am now happy to announce that my own mobile massage business is in operation. I will strive to make the services as convenient as necessary for my customers.
