Mark D. Adams is an Elder Law attorney with Carver & Adams, P.A. representing the elderly, the disabled, and their caregivers in all facets of Elder Law including Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Public Benefits, Incapacity Planning, Special Needs Planning, Guardianship, Probate, and Trust Administration. As an attorney, Mark understands that his role is not only to be an advocate, but also to listen and counsel. In his eighteen years as a professional firefighter and paramedic, Mark has become accustomed to helping people navigate the most difficult and stressful situations imaginable. Through his years of experience, Mark developed the skills of clearly identifying the problem, developing a plan of action to fix the problem, and implementing the plan to resolution. Mark now applies these skills to the practice of Elder Law, guiding and counseling clients and their families through life’s changes and challenges. Mr. Adams earned his undergraduate degree at the University of North Florida, majoring in Philosophy and graduated with Pro Bono Honors from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Mark gained valuable experience as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney’s Office, the Judicial Staff Attorney’s Office, and serving as a Law Clerk for Donnelly + Gross, P.A., a law firm dedicated to serving first responders in labor disputes. Mark is a lifelong Nassau County resident and resides with his wife Jenifer, a school counselor, and their two children in Callahan.

Jan Carver is an Elder Law attorney with Carver & Adams, P.A. representing the elderly, the disabled, and their caregivers in all facets of Elder Law including Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Public Benefits, Incapacity Planning, Special Needs Planning, Guardianship, Probate, and Trust Administration. Jan is the founder of Carver & Adams and now works with the firm as an of counsel Attorney. In her forty years as a nurse practitioner, Jan has become accustomed to helping people through the health issues that often accompany the aging process. Throughout her medical career, Jan has brought comfort and support to countless patients. Jan applies the same focus and dedication to the practice of Elder Law, guiding and counseling clients and their families through life’s changes and challenges. Ms. Carver earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing at the University of Connecticut, a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Florida, her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, and an LL.M. in Elder Law from Stetson University School of Law. Ms. Carver has shared her passion and knowledge of Elder Law by teaching courses focused on the practice area to law students at Florida Coastal School of Law. Jan continues to work as a nurse practitioner in Fernandina Beach and also works as a general Magistrate for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit in Nassau County. Jan was born and raised in Connecticut and spent 4 years living and raising her family in Saudi Arabia and Germany before moving to Florida in 1989.
